Introducing FAHR: FAHR is the primary federal government agency responsible for managing human resources policies, legislation, systems, and strategic workforce planning across all UAE federal entities.

FAHR in Dubai plays a pivotal role in shaping federal human resources across the UAE. It modernizes HR policy and technology, drives digital transformation, reduces bureaucracy, and promotes national talent through strategic programs. Operating from Festival Tower, it ensures federal HR services are forward looking, efficient, and aligned with national aspirations.

Role: As Sole UX Designer I was responsible to create a modern, visually appealing designs that prioritizes the user experience and provides seamless user journeys, while streamlining HR processes and reducing the amount of time required to complete tasks for Employee Self Service Portal platform.

HEURISTIC EVALUATION FINDINGS

By evaluating the existing applications interface based on Heuristic Evaluation principles we discovered the problems with Navigation, User Interface, User flows.

• Complex navigation to view or track information of multiple task is eventually makes user frustrated.

• Inefficient user flows with unnecessary additional steps to complete a user task.

• User need to recall lot of information or check manually which create user memory load.

• No Proper visual data presentation that helps user to understand more easily.

• No proper prioritization of content & features to support user primary goals.

• User experience is not exciting because of not very clean, Intuitive & appealing Interface.

USER INTERVIEW OUTCOME

• There are some information user wants but not available in the portal.

• User have to search a lot with in portal to get required information due to this there is wastage of user time & efforts.

• User manually check the data issue & calculate efforts - like leave violation, missing check-in & check-out data.

• No notification system to inform there request is approved / rejected.

• Complex way to track promotion phase is in which state.

• Navigation of New Hire process is complex.

• User Interface is not clean & intuitive.

• User Faces issue in using the application in mobile view as in does not fit properly in mobile layout. Lot of scrolling needs to be done.

• HR needs to check lot of parameters from different sources before posting a job post. Consolidated data is missing.

• Ministry Approvals on the new candidate hired is taken over email. This way of method is time consuming.
